HighSigndocs

Welcome to HighSign

HighSign keeps your AI policy live and every AI tool, skill and workflow accounted for. Your risk or compliance team sets the rules once, and the rest of the business gets an instant green, amber or red answer for any tool against any kind of data, with an audit trail you can show a client, insurer or regulator.

These docs explain how to set HighSign up and run it. They are written for the person who owns AI governance first, then for the wider team who use it every day.

The idea in one minute

Most firms are already using AI they cannot see. HighSign turns that from a blind spot into a governed system in three moves:

  1. You write a policy as rules, not a PDF. For each kind of data your firm handles (client information, financials, health, internal, public), you decide what an AI tool must satisfy to be allowed.
  2. HighSign keeps a live register of tools and computes a verdict for every tool-and-data combination from your rules. The verdict is deterministic: the same rules and facts always produce the same answer, and no AI model sits in the answer path.
  3. Everyone checks before they paste. Staff open a shared link, type a tool and pick the kind of data, and get a clear green, amber or red with the reason and the approved alternative. Every check, request, exception and attestation is recorded.

The result is a governance system that runs continuously instead of a policy that ages in a drawer.

How it is meant to run

HighSign is built around two groups of people, and the docs follow the same split.

Your risk or compliance team drives it. They log in to the control room to write the policy, curate the tool register, decide requests, grant time-boxed exceptions, and produce the evidence pack. This is the Set up governance and Operate work.

The wider business leverages it. Staff never log in. They reach HighSign through shared links to check a tool, request a review when the answer is no, attest that they have read a policy, and report a near-miss with no blame. This is the Roll out to staff work.

The two sides meet in the middle: a staff request lands in your Inbox, your decision updates the register, and the next person who checks that tool sees the new answer. That loop is the product.

A note on scope

HighSign provides operational governance tooling, not legal advice. It helps you run governance and show your working; a qualified professional validates any control before you rely on it. For how your data is hosted and protected, see Security and hosting.
